Football, Exploration and Good Company

Layering up for Friday's night homecoming football game I was not looking forward to being outside, but I survived and the work paid off.

This was my first time every shooting a football game and with the poor weather conditions it wasn't too much fun, but the photos I ended up with were well worth my toes and fingers losing feeling.

I took about 300 photos but ended up with some good ones. These are two of my best and the bottom photo was the one used in the paper.

After coming home from the office around 10pm last night I rose early to explore Maroon Bells. We got out at the perfect time on an unbelievable day. There was no wind, just the right amount of snow and not too crowded yet.

The weekend is not even halfway over and I've already accomplished so much. It's crazy to think that I've only been here 2 weeks. I still have not met many people outside work, so I don't have a friend group yet, but I am settled in and adjusted to life in Aspen.
